Description

A refreshing and easy-to-make Strawberry Daiquiri cocktail blending fresh and frozen strawberries with rum, simple syrup, and lime juice for a smooth and fruity drink perfect for warm days or parties.

Ingredients

Units Scale

Main Ingredients

  • 1 pound strawberries
  • 4 ounces rum
  • 3 ounces simple syrup
  • 1 ounce lime juice

Instructions

  1. Prepare Strawberries: Remove the stems from the strawberries and slice them in half. Freeze half of the berries (8 ounces) until solid, which will take about 2 hours.
  2. Blend Cocktail: Once the berries are frozen, combine the fresh and frozen strawberries in a high-speed blender. Add the rum, simple syrup, and lime juice. Blend until the mixture is smooth and well combined.
  3. Garnish and Serve: Pour the daiquiri into glasses and garnish with an extra strawberry and/or a slice of lime for a decorative and flavorful touch.
  4. Nonalcoholic Option: To make a nonalcoholic version, omit the rum and substitute with 4 ounces of water, then blend as usual for a refreshing mocktail.

Notes

  • If you don’t want to wait for the berries to freeze, use 4 ounces of frozen strawberries combined with 4 ounces of fresh strawberries.
  • You can adjust the amount of rum to your taste; if you reduce it, consider adding some water to help blend the drink smoothly, depending on your blender.
  • The amount of simple syrup can be modified based on your preferred sweetness and the natural sweetness of the strawberries.
  • For rum, white or coconut rum works best, but spiced or dark rum can also add a delicious flavor variation.
