- ½ teaspoon salt
- ½ teaspoon black pepper

Butter Sauce
- ½ cup unsalted butter
Instructions
- Prepare the broth: Fill a large pot with water. Quarter two lemons and add them to the water. Then add the onion, garlic, and seafood seasoning to the water. Bring the water to a boil.
- Cook the potatoes: Clean and cut the potatoes in half. Add the potatoes to the boiling water and cook for 12 minutes or until just barely fork tender.
- Add corn and sausage: Clean and cut the corn. Add the corn along with the sliced smoked sausage to the boiling water. Cook for 6 minutes.
- Cook the shrimp: Add the shrimp to the boiling water and cook an additional 3 minutes or until they turn pink and are cooked through.
- Drain the boil: Drain the water from the pot and place the shrimp mixture on a large baking sheet.
- Make the butter sauce: In a microwave-safe bowl, melt the butter. Add salt, pepper, and 2 tablespoons chopped parsley to the melted butter and whisk to combine.
- Mix the boil with butter: Pour half of the butter mixture over the shrimp mixture and stir to coat evenly. Reserve the remaining butter mixture for serving.
- Garnish and serve: Garnish the shrimp boil with additional chopped parsley and lemon wedges. Sprinkle additional seafood seasoning to taste if desired. Serve immediately with the reserved butter sauce.
Notes
- Use smoked kielbasa or andouille sausage for authentic smoky flavor; substitute with chorizo if desired.
- Leave shrimp tails on for easier handling and presentation.
- Adjust seafood seasoning amounts based on your preferred spice level.
- Melt butter gently to avoid burning the garlic.
- Serve with crusty bread or coleslaw for a complete meal.
- Make sure not to overcook the shrimp to avoid rubbery texture.
