Smoothie Ingredients
- 1 to 1 1/2 cups milk (any kind: regular, fat free, or nondairy like almond milk)
- 1 medium banana
- 2 cups frozen berries (any variety or combination)
- 1 to 2 tablespoons honey or agave syrup or 1 to 2 packets of sweetener, to taste (optional)
Garnish
- Cookie crumbles for garnish
Instructions
- Prepare Smoothie Ingredients: Place 1 cup of milk, the banana, frozen berries, and 1 tablespoon of honey into a blender.
- Blend Until Smooth: Blend the mixture until completely smooth. Depending on your blender’s power and your preferred smoothie consistency, add more milk as needed and stir the mixture partway through blending for even texture.
- Adjust Sweetness: Taste the smoothie and add more sweetener such as honey, agave syrup, or sweetener packets if you want a sweeter, ice-cream-like flavor.
- Serve with Garnish: Pour the smoothie into glasses and top with crumbled cookies for extra texture and flavor. This recipe makes one large or two small servings.
Notes
- Any milk type works: regular dairy, fat free, or nondairy options like almond milk.
- You can use any berries you like; fresh berries should be frozen for at least 2 hours before blending for best texture.
- Boost protein by adding a scoop of your favorite protein powder to the blender along with the other ingredients.
