- 1 lb fresh strawberries, chopped
- 1 lb fresh pineapple, chopped
- 12 oz fresh blueberries
- 12 oz red grapes, sliced into halves
- 4 kiwis, peeled and chopped
- 3 mandarin oranges, peeled and segmented
- 2 bananas, sliced (optional)
Honey Lime Dressing
- 1/4 cup honey
- 2 tsp lime zest (zest of 2 medium limes)
- 1 1/2 Tbsp fresh lime juice
Instructions
- Prepare the fruit: Add all the chopped and prepared fruits including strawberries, pineapple, blueberries, grapes, kiwis, mandarins, and optional bananas into a large mixing bowl.
- Make the dressing: In a small mixing bowl, whisk together the honey, lime zest, and fresh lime juice until well combined.
- Toss the salad: Pour the honey lime dressing over the mixed fruits and gently toss everything to evenly coat the fruit with the dressing.
- Serve: Serve the fruit salad immediately for the freshest taste and texture.
Notes
- Mandarin oranges from a 15 oz can, drained well, can be used instead of fresh mandarins if fresh is unavailable.
- Fruit (except banana) can be chopped up to 1 day in advance and stored in the refrigerator.
- The honey lime dressing can also be prepared 1 day in advance and kept chilled separately.
- Toss the fruit and dressing together just before serving to maintain freshness and avoid sogginess.
- Bananas are optional as they brown quickly; add just before serving if used.
