Description

Garlic Butter Steak Bites are tender, juicy pieces of steak cooked to perfection in a flavorful garlic butter sauce. This quick and easy skillet recipe is perfect for a delicious dinner or appetizer, garnished with fresh parsley and green onions for a burst of freshness.

Ingredients

Scale

Steak Bites

  • 1/2 tablespoon avocado oil
  • 2 pounds steak, cut into small bite-size pieces
  • 2 teaspoons salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon freshly ground black pepper
  • 1/2 teaspoon red pepper flakes (optional)

Garlic Butter Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons butter or ghee
  • 6 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/4 cup chopped parsley
  • green onion, for garnish

Instructions

  1. Season the Steak: Season the steak bites with salt, pepper, and red pepper flakes, stirring until the pieces are evenly coated with the seasoning.
  2. Cook the Steak: Heat a large skillet over medium-high heat. Add the avocado oil to the hot skillet, then add the steak bites in a single layer. Cook for 3 to 4 minutes until browned, stirring occasionally. Cook in batches if necessary to avoid overcrowding. Once browned, remove the steak from the pan and set aside.
  3. Sauté the Garlic: Remove any excess water from the skillet, then add the butter or ghee. Add the minced garlic and sauté for 1 minute until fragrant and lightly golden.
  4. Combine and Finish Cooking: Return the steak bites to the pan and cook for an additional 1 to 2 minutes, stirring to coat the meat evenly with the garlic butter sauce.
  5. Garnish and Serve: Remove the pan from heat, stir in the chopped parsley, garnish with green onions, and serve the steak bites immediately for the best flavor and texture.

Notes

  • For extra heat, keep the red pepper flakes; omit them for a milder dish.
  • You can substitute ghee for butter if you prefer a lactose-free option.
  • Allow the skillet to get very hot before adding the steak to achieve a nice sear.
  • Rest the steak bites for a few minutes before serving if you want them slightly less sizzling but still juicy.
  • Serve with a side of steamed vegetables or mashed potatoes for a complete meal.
