  • 1 cup non-fat plain Greek yogurt
  • ½ tsp vanilla extract
  • ½ cup vanilla whey protein powder
  • ½ Tbsp maple syrup, optional
  • 2 Tbsp rainbow sprinkles

Instructions

  1. Mix yogurt and vanilla: In a small bowl, combine the non-fat plain Greek yogurt and vanilla extract until smooth.
  2. Add protein powder: Stir in the vanilla whey protein powder vigorously until the mixture is completely smooth.
  3. Sweeten if needed: Taste your protein dunkaroo dip, and if it’s not sweet enough, stir in the maple syrup to your preference.
  4. Fold in sprinkles: Gently stir in the rainbow sprinkles to distribute them evenly throughout the dip.
  5. Serve with extra sprinkles: Top with additional sprinkles if desired and serve immediately for a fun, delicious snack.

Notes

  • This recipe is inspired by Dietitian Blair Cooley’s viral Dunkaroo dip.
  • You can use non-fat, low-fat, or whole milk Greek yogurt depending on your preference for calorie and fat content.
  • Any flavor of protein powder will work, but vanilla or cake batter flavors give a classic dunkaroo taste.
  • Maple syrup is optional and can be left out to limit added sugars if your protein powder is already sweetened.
  • Nutrition facts are calculated without the optional maple syrup for a lower sugar profile.
