Description

A quick and creamy matcha cold foam recipe that can be made in just 3 minutes using heavy cream, milk, matcha powder, and vanilla syrup. Perfect for topping matcha lattes, cold brew coffee, or other beverages, this foam adds a delightful smooth texture and subtle sweetness.

Ingredients

Scale

Matcha Cold Foam Ingredients

  • 1 cup Heavy Cream
  • ½ cup 2% Milk
  • 3 teaspoons Matcha Powder, sifted
  • 3 Tablespoons Vanilla Syrup

Instructions

  1. Combine Ingredients: Add the heavy cream, 2% milk, sifted matcha powder, and vanilla syrup into a container or bowl with relatively tall sides to allow for frothing.
  2. Froth Mixture: Using a milk frother, froth the ingredients together until thick and foamed, about one minute. Make sure to move the frother to the bottom, top, and sides of the vessel to incorporate air thoroughly.
  3. Serve: Spoon the matcha cold foam on top of your favorite matcha beverage, cold brew coffee with ice, or any beverage of your choice for a creamy, sweet finish.

Notes

  • You can customize the flavor by using different syrups in place of vanilla syrup, such as caramel or hazelnut.
  • To make a vegan version, substitute heavy cream with coconut cream and 2% milk with any plant-based milk.
  • If you have leftover matcha cold foam, store it in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 2 days.
  • Re-froth the cold foam before serving if it has lost its airy texture after storing.
  • Avoid freezing the cold foam as the heavy cream and milk don’t freeze well once frothed.
