Fillings
- 8 slices cheese
- 8 slices deli ham
- 3 tablespoons mayonnaise
- Mustard (optional)
Instructions
- Spread Mayonnaise: Spread mayonnaise evenly over 8 slices of the crustless bread to add flavor and moisture.
- Add Cheese and Ham: Place one slice of cheese and one slice of deli ham on top of each mayonnaise-covered slice of bread.
- Apply Mustard and Top Bread: Spread mustard lightly over the ham if using, then cover each with another slice of bread to form sandwiches.
- Cut into Trees: Using a tree-shaped cookie cutter, cut 2 tree shapes from each sandwich to create festive mini sandwiches perfect for serving.
Notes
- You can use bread with crust and remove it yourself; white bread can be substituted with wholegrain bread. Make sure to buy thinly sliced bread for best results.
- Use any cheese you like such as cheddar, mozzarella, gouda, or edam for varied flavors.
- If your ham slices are very thin, use 2 slices per sandwich to ensure a good meat layer.
- Mustard is completely optional and can be omitted based on preference.
