Description

Delight in festive Christmas Tree Cake Truffles made with Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes coated in creamy white chocolate and decorated with colorful sprinkles and red candy drizzle. Perfect for holiday parties or as a sweet seasonal treat.

Ingredients

Scale

Cake and Coating

  • 1 box Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes (5 cakes)
  • 8 ounces white chocolate or candy melts

Decorations

  • 3 tablespoons festive sprinkles
  • 3 tablespoons red candy melts for drizzling (optional)
  • Green sanding sugar for decoration

Instructions

  1. Prepare the Cake Base: Unwrap the Little Debbie Christmas Tree Cakes and place them in a large bowl. Use a handheld mixer to blend the cakes until a crumbly dough forms. Mix in the festive sprinkles thoroughly for color and texture.
  2. Form Cake Balls: Using a tablespoon, scoop portions of the cake mixture and roll them between your palms to form round balls. Place each ball on a parchment-lined baking sheet. Continue until all the mixture is used.
  3. Melt White Chocolate: In a microwave-safe bowl or using a double boiler, gently melt the white chocolate or candy melts until smooth.
  4. Coat the Cake Balls: Dip each chilled cake ball into the melted white chocolate using a fork or dipping tool, coating completely. Allow excess chocolate to drip off, then return the coated truffle to the baking sheet.
  5. Prepare Red Candy Drizzle: Melt the red candy melts in a piping bag or ziplock bag in the microwave in 30-second intervals, massaging the bag between intervals until fully melted. Snip a small corner from the bag for drizzling.
  6. Decorate Truffles: Drizzle the red candy melts over each coated truffle. Immediately sprinkle green sanding sugar on top for a festive finish. Place the truffles in the fridge to set for a few minutes before serving.

Notes

  • Use a double boiler to melt chocolate gently and avoid burning.
  • If you don’t have festive sprinkles, colored sugar or nonpareils work well as substitutes.
  • Ensure cake balls are firm and chilled before dipping to prevent them from falling apart.
  • For easier drizzle application, use a piping bag but a ziplock bag works just as well.
  • Store truffles in an airtight container in the refrigerator for up to 5 days.
