Description

Delight in these delicious Chocolate Strawberry Yogurt Clusters—a perfect blend of sweet strawberries, creamy Greek yogurt, and rich semi-sweet chocolate. These bite-sized frozen treats are easy to make, healthy, and a great snack or dessert to cool down on a warm day.

Ingredients

Scale

Fruit and Yogurt Mixture

  • 1 1/2 cups chopped strawberries
  • 1 cup plain Greek yogurt
  • 1 tbsp honey
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract

Chocolate Coating

  • 1 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil

Instructions

  1. Prepare Yogurt Mixture: In a large bowl, combine the chopped strawberries, plain Greek yogurt, honey, and vanilla extract. Stir thoroughly until all ingredients are well mixed.
  2. Form Clusters: Using a spoon, drop scoops of the yogurt mixture (about 2 tablespoons each) onto a parchment paper-lined baking sheet or large plate to form around 10 clusters.
  3. Freeze Clusters: Place the baking sheet with the clusters into the freezer. Freeze until the clusters are completely solid, which takes about 2 hours.
  4. Melt Chocolate: Once the clusters are frozen, place the chocolate chips and coconut oil in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until the chocolate is fully melted and smooth.
  5. Coat Clusters: Remove the frozen yogurt clusters from the freezer. Carefully dip each cluster into the melted chocolate using a spoon to ensure they are thoroughly coated. Place the coated clusters back on the parchment paper. Optionally, sprinkle a pinch of sea salt on top.
  6. Final Freeze: Return the chocolate-coated clusters to the freezer for a few minutes to allow the chocolate to harden and the yogurt to solidify slightly. Once set, enjoy your refreshing treat!

Notes

  • Use parchment paper to prevent clusters from sticking to the baking sheet.
  • For a dairy-free option, substitute Greek yogurt with coconut or almond milk yogurt.
  • Add a pinch of sea salt on the chocolate coating to enhance flavor.
  • Store leftover clusters in an airtight container in the freezer for up to one week.
  • Be careful when melting the chocolate to avoid burning by microwaving in short intervals and stirring often.
