Wings
- 2 pounds chicken wings, cut into drumettes and wingettes
- 2 tablespoons salted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons garlic and herb seasoning
- 2 teaspoons sea salt
Garlic Butter Sauce
- 6 tablespoons salted butter, melted
- 1 tablespoon minced garlic
Toppings and Garnishes
- 1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
- Fresh chopped parsley (optional)
- Ranch dressing (optional, for dipping)
Instructions
- Preheat and Dry Wings: Preheat the air fryer to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Pat the chicken wings dry with paper towels to ensure crispiness.
- Coat Wings with Butter: Melt 2 tablespoons of butter and drizzle it over the dry wings. Toss lightly to coat all wings evenly.
- Season Wings: Mix garlic and herb seasoning with sea salt in a small bowl. Sprinkle the mixture over both sides of the wings, gently rubbing it in.
- Cook Wings in Air Fryer: Place wings in a single layer in the air fryer basket without overcrowding. Cook for 10 minutes on one side, then flip and cook for an additional 9 minutes. Depending on air fryer size, cook in 2 or 3 batches.
- Prepare Garlic Butter Sauce: While wings cook, combine the remaining 6 tablespoons of melted butter with minced garlic in a medium bowl.
- Toss Wings in Garlic Butter: When wings reach an internal temperature of 165 degrees Fahrenheit and are golden brown, toss them in the garlic butter mixture until well coated.
- Add Parmesan and Toast: Sprinkle wings with grated parmesan cheese. Return them to the air fryer and cook for 3 minutes or until parmesan is lightly toasted.
- Serve: Optionally drizzle any extra garlic butter over wings. Garnish with fresh chopped parsley and additional parmesan if desired. Serve with ranch dressing on the side.
Notes
- Ensure wings are well dried before cooking for maximum crispness.
- Do not overcrowd the air fryer basket to allow even cooking.
- Use a meat thermometer to confirm wings reach 165°F internally for safety.
- Fresh garlic can be substituted with garlic powder if preferred.
- For a spicier version, add a pinch of cayenne pepper to the seasoning mix.
- Allow wings to rest a few minutes before serving to let flavors meld.
